Mingpao Weekly Entertainment Awards

TVBE news featuring all the No Regrets people

Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang attended the Mingpao Weekly Entertainment Awards 2011 together. Wayne won the 'Most Outstanding Actor' award based on No Regrets while Sheren Tang also won the 'Most Outstanding Actress' award based on the same drama. No Regrets also triumphed the other nominees by winning the 'Most Outstanding TV Programme'.

At the awards ceremony, Sheren and Wayne, who won the 'Most Outstanding Actor' and 'Most Outstanding Actress' awards together, were in a very good mood. They exhibited good chemistry in and outside the drama. After seeing their 'intimate' expressions, it was not surprising to see fans from both sides getting jealous.

All Stars Gala Live In Genting (Day 1)

| Thursday, November 10, 2011 | 10 comments |
It is not often that three good TVB artistes, Teresa Mo, Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang exit their on-screen personas and attend the 'All Stars Gala Live In Genting' concert together, thereby reducing the distance between them and the audience. Mo, who rarely appears in concerts, gave many of her 'first times' for this concert. Besides singing, she also danced to a hot dance number! 'Chai Gau' Wayne Lai's humour brought laughter to many people, and was even asked by a crazy female fan to kiss her three times; That night, Sheren Tang told the Malaysian audience, "Actually, I'm very gentle. Don't you guys feel it?"

No Regrets premieres in Mainland China - Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai exhibit fantastic chemistry

The leads of No Regrets, Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang, have come to Shanghai together again. They were awarded their second TV King and Queen awards consecutively for two years based on this drama, becoming the biggest winners of last year's awards show. This drama had the highest rating of 47 points, which made this year's ratings champion, Lives of Omission, which had a high of 40 points, pale in comparison.

Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai can't stop eating in Taiwan

| Wednesday, September 14, 2011 | 10 comments |
Rosy Business will be shown on the 19th September 2011 at 8 pm on CTV. The main leads, Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai, have specially come to Taiwan to promote this drama. Tang and Lai don't share any kissing or intimate scenes in the drama. Tang, who is not yet married, hopes to have an ordinary love, because even though the love in that drama is minimal, it is also love at its deepest. Although this is the first time Tang and Lai are collaborating, but they are already at ease with each other. Tang laughed and pointed to Lai, saying "I have already noticed you from the beginning!"

Tang's and Lai's popularity cannot be denied, for throngs of fans gathered at the airport to send them off. Lai, who is on his first visit to Taiwan, has nothing but praises for Taiwanese food while Tang kept recommending food for him to try. It seemed as if they were afraid of missing out on anything, as they ate 5 meals continuously in one day. Their appetites are really amazing.

Sheren Tang accepted an interview with the radio station about her new Mainland drama, New My Fair Princess. She said, "TVB has already bought the drama. Maybe that's because they know that I did not film any dramas for them this year. I'm very happy that it will be aired."

She has also been nominated for the Most Popular Actress award in the 6th Seoul TV Festival for her role in No Regrets while her on-screen partner, Wayne Lai, has been nominated for the Most Popular Actor award. She hopes that both of them will win prizes together and bring glory to Hong Kong dramas. She even joked and said, "I've been acting such strong characters. I'm afraid that I won't have any boyfriends."

Comments: A must-listen! Sheren talked about her feelings about filming New My Fair Princess (as you guys know it as 新环珠格格) as well as her previous characters, Yu Fei, 4th Wife and Gau Mui. Sheren will not be filming any dramas for the time being as she will be taking a break (bad news for us fans!), but if she is invited to the Seoul International TV Festival, she will turn up because she is proud and glad that No Regrets has managed to get in though it has not been shown in many countries yet.

Sheren mentioned that up till now, no other male leads have as much chemistry with her as Wayne Lai. *^^* She also mentioned about her upcoming concert with Wayne Lai in November in Genting. Songs that they will definitely sing will be Red Butterfly and I Have A Date with Spring. xDD

She has also mentioned that many TV companies have bought the broadcasting rights for No Regrets and the response was really good. May No Regrets touch the hearts of the Koreans and their panel of judges! ;) Hwaiting! ;D

This is really a hilarious interview with Eileen Cha heehee. ^^ Siu Yan jeh is quite a joker lmao! xP

Sherayne's concert @ Casino Rama (Toronto)

| Tuesday, June 21, 2011 | 11 comments |
Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai's concert were held on the 19th June 2011 (which was yesterday in SG/HK time). Haha, I really envy those fans who were able to go there to see the both of them together! It's such a rare chance hoohoohoo! Anyway, they did sing quite a number of songs, as listed below. And and and, they hugged after singing 《只有情永在》 aww! It's the same song that they sung as Chai Gau and 4th Wife during the 2009 TVB Anniversary Gala celebrations! xD They hugged after that kekeke. Sure to drive fans of Sherayne crazy eh? I will post more pictures and videos when they're available! I have the video of them singing 《只有情永在》 together, but for some weird reason, I'm not able to upload it here now, so I will do so at a later time! It's uploaded now! ^^

I will try to upload all the videos here (subjected to internet speed and availability of space). I have the full list of download links for ALL the videos though, but the people who took the videos have requested not to make it public. I can only send the download links to people who ask it from me. Please email me if you want the links. Remember, please do not share the links with anybody else!!

Wayne Lai and Terese Mo attended an event together as spokespersons. Both of them, together with Sheren Tang, will be going to Genting in November for a concert. Mo Jeh (Teresa Mo) said that she will consider dancing Latin dance while Wayne joked that when Mo Jeh dance the Latin dance, he will wear tights and dance ballet. Mo Jeh said, "Go away and don't block me! I will laugh so hard till I don't need to dance anymore. If you wear that out I will beat you to death!"

Comments: Hmm, Sheren and Wayne seem to be going everywhere except Singapore zZz... COME TO SINGAPORE JEBAL!! OTL On a side-note, I think Wayne gets along really well with Teresa. I've read that they both have good chemistry with each other as well. Teresa, Wayne and Sheren going there together reminds me of that night when both Someday and No Regrets aired their last episodes together. ^^

The closing ceremony of the 17th Shanghai TV Festival will be tonight, where the new TV King and Queen will be announced. Wayne Lai has been nominated as Best Actor because of this role in No Regrets.

This afternoon, Wayne Lai was a guest in Tengxun's '上海进行时' and shared the touching story of TVB drama, No Regrets. After the interview, he enjoyed his afternoon tea by himself while watching the rain outside the window. When the awards ceremony started at night, Lau Sing met Gau Gu Leong once again, and Wayne took photos with Sheren. He even thanked his friends and supporters for all their support.

I Love Hong Kong @ Jurong Point

| Sunday, January 16, 2011 | 0 comments |
Haha, I'm really getting very excited though there's still about 4 more hours before the event at Jurong Point starts. xD Here are some photos from Fala Chen's Weibo!

Cast of I Love Hong Kong who are going over to Jurong Point later. I can't see very clearly who is inside though because some people got cut off!

- Credits to Fala Chen's Weibo

The event just ended, and I just reached home. I'm not sure if I should be happy or disappointed. I'm disappointed, because I didn't manage to get Fala's signature, neither did I get to talk to her. =(

The event was supposed to start at 7 pm, but the artistes themselves only came at 8.20 pm. The DJs, who were the emcees for the day, said that there was a delay in their flight. Well, I can accept that as a reason LOL, but I was quite irritated, because many people started pushing around and complaining, and gosh, the weather was really very humid! >.< And wtf, I was among the earliest to arrive, but I didn't manage to get the autographed I Love Hong Kong movie poster all because they only gave the posters to those people who were standing at the side. -.-'''

Yeah, so the event started late, and ended quite early. The whole thing felt quite rushed to me LOL. I believed that if they had arrived earlier, we fans could have interacted more with them, and I would have probably gotten the artistes' autographs. I really hope that next Saturday's and Sunday's meeting with Wayne Lai won't be like that. =(

But overall, it was really a very nice feeling to see all the familiar TVB stars whom I've grown up watching. <3 They were all very friendly, and I absolutely love it when they spoke Cantonese! =D I shall tell you guys something. Maggie Cheung Ho Yee totally made my day by smiling and waving at me while we (crazy fans) were stalking them all the way to Jurong Point's car-park. Gossshhhhh!!! *faints*

Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai @ Charity Walk

| Sunday, January 9, 2011 | 0 comments |

TVBE clip

Sheren Tang and her on-screen partner, Wayne Lai, together with other colleagues from TVB, attended a walk to raise money for charity. She revealed that she did something like this when she first entered the entertainment sector, but hasn't been doing so for the past few years due to the lack of time.

Fan-made No Regrets calendar

| Monday, January 3, 2011 | 10 comments |
Here are some photos of the fan-made No Regrets calendar! I've received the calendar already, and it's really very pretty! =D Thanks Zesa for saving the photos and helping me buy the calendar! ^^ I will feel the motivation to study if I put it on my study table heehee (but to be honest, I won't have to go to school from now till results are released)! =D

A must-have for fans of Sing Gau and fans of No Regrets! =)

For more details, please email me!!!

And wtf, I just realised that the first picture looked like RV's ASK journal. >.<

Anyway, the original No Regrets DVD is out in Hong Kong, and it cost about HKD$500, which is about SGD$82.60. Actually, I'm not sure if this is considered expensive for BVT dramas in Singapore, because BVT dramas are atrociously expensive in Singapore (I remember seeing Beyond the Realm of Conscience selling for about $150 before the price dropped, and Rosy Business was about $120 before I managed to get it at half price). So... If you want the cheaper deal, ask people from Hong Kong to help you get it, because when the DVDs start selling in Singapore, be prepared to wait for a long time before the price drops to a reasonable range. >.< I think I will surely get the DVDs, because my parents love this drama (I'm quite surprised, but they decided to give it a go when I was re-watching it heehee!), but when? I don't know.

No Regrets' celebratory dinner

| Tuesday, December 7, 2010 | 4 comments |
Sheren Tang, Lee Tim Shing and Wayne Lai set new records with No Regrets. However, Wayne Lai has no intention to film the third installment. (I purposely made this phrase bigger lol!)

No Regrets, starring Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang as leads, ended with high ratings of 47 points, with 3 million viewers watching and crying at the same time. Last Sunday, No Regrets dominated the awards ceremony, with Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai winning Best Actress and Best Actor again, and Evergreen Mak and Fala Chen winning Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

Virginia Lok: TVB has a lot of money
TVB deputy executive chairman Mr Norman Leung is very happy with No Regrets' results, and invited everybody involved in this drama for dinner at a Western food restaurant. Wayne and Sheren naturally became the centre of attraction, and even the actors who played the Japanese soldiers were also present.

After that, Sheren interacted with a few TVB high executives including Stephan Chan, Virginia Lok and Catherine Tsang. Lok has dangled attractive terms in order to coax Sheren and Wayne into signing a contract with TVB. She said, "In the past, we didn't dare to bring up this matter, because we're afraid it would affect the results. This is now the good time to bring it up. We are very sincere. TVB has the most money. However, Wayne's wife is his manager, and will forever be. Sheren also has a manager whom she gets along very well with. Unless her manager retires, I don't think she'll sign on with TVB."

As to whether she'll sign on with TVB, Sheren said, "If my manager retires, TVB will have the upper hand. I've always filmed TVB dramas without any bond, and I don't know when I'll retire." Will she take this chance to increase her pay? Sheren joked that Gau Mui has a lot of money.

As for Wayne, he has no intention of asking for a higher pay, but has jokingly praised himself for being worth so much money.

TVB 43rd Anniversary Awards Ceremony (2010)

| Monday, December 6, 2010 | 22 comments |
The annual TVB Awards ceremony was held yesterday, and it was a battle between both Can't Buy Me Love and No Regrets. The results have proven this point. Unlike Rosy Business, which swept last year's awards, the limelight was on Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai, who set new records for TVB by becoming winning both the TV King and TV Queen awards consecutively for 2 years. However, there was a moment of silence when Can't Buy Me Love was announced as the winner of the Best Drama award as No Regrets was expected to take home that award. Charmaine Sheh won the My Favourite Female Character award while Moses Chan won the Best Performance award.

Competition for this year was really tight, and there was no clear winner. The Best Supporting Actor went to Evergreen Mak and the Best Supporting Actress went to Fala Chen. The Most Improved Female award went to Natalie Tong while the Most Improved Male award went to Raymond Wong. Raymond Lam had high popularity, but was not good enough to become TV King. He went on to win the TVB.com prize and the My Favourite Male Character award instead.

Gau Mui leaves deep impression - Sheren Tang beats Charmaine Sheh to win Best Actress again
Before the awards ceremony, the media had already placed their bets on Sheren and Charmaine. No Regrets' "Gau Mui" left a very deep impression on the audience and managed to beat Charmaine, winning the Best Actress award again, while Charmaine was left to take the My Favourite Female Character award.

Wayne Lai wins Best Actor again
The fight for this year's TV King was not as fierce as the fight for TV Queen. No Regrets' Lau Sing, who went through much difficulty with Gau Mui, was once again crowned Best Actor. When Sandra Ng said, "Actually, everybody knows who it is.", Wayne was the one who had the last laugh. On stage, Wayne never forgot to hug Sandra.

Raymond Wong succeeds in winning Most Improved Male award
Raymond, who was in the movie industry, managed to get the Most Improved Male award this year. It was also his first TV prize in 13 years. He had 8 dramas lined up this year, and had delivered in both Can't Buy Me Love and No Regrets. His role as Yeung Yeung in No Regrets had brought him more popularity and praises.

Supporting roles attract attention
The Best Supporting Male and Female went to Evergreen Mak and Fala Chen respectively. Both of them could not resist their tears. Evergreen was so emotional until he couldn't speak properly.

If No Regrets loses to Dae Jang Geum

| Monday, November 29, 2010 | 15 comments |

According to the media, both the final episodes of Someday and No Regrets were aired at TVB City yesterday. Everybody hopes that No Regrets will beat Korean drama Dae Jang Geum's record of 50 points. Sheren Tang said, "If the ratings can't beat Dae Jang Geum, I will write Cheng Gau Mui backwards." Wayne Lai also added, "My name, Lau Sing, will also be written backwards."
