Starhub-TVB Awards 2011 (nomination list)

It's voting time again! Deadline is now 14th July 2011! You have a chance to win prizes should you vote! Voting is done via SMS. Each SMS costs 20 cents. The prizes below are only available for people who voted via SMS. Voting can also be done online now!! Since when did the online voting start zZz?! -.-''' I think only one NRIC can be used per day, so that prevents people from pumping in votes, which is only fair. UPDATE: Wayne Lai will be coming to Singapore for the Starhub-TVB awards ceremony! It seems that Fala Chen will be making her way here as well. I'm not sure about Sheren Tang, but I do hope that she makes it. Tickets for the awards ceremony are priced from $68 onwards, which excludes the $3 SISTIC booking fee. It's very expensive to me, so unless more of my favourite TVB artistes are going, I don't think I will pay so much to go and see them. BUT, if Sheren is coming, I may change my mind. xP

Leo Ku wins "Most Popular Theme Song" award

On the 15th January 2011 at 8.30 pm, the 2010 TVB Jade Solid Gold Music Award Ceremony was held in Hong Kong. Leo Ku won the Most Popular TV Theme Song award based on his song Righteous Sea of Heroic Love, the theme song of TVB drama No Regrets.

No Regrets, which just managed to win all the important prizes during the TVB Awards ceremony, has passed on its good luck to the singer of its theme song, Leo Ku. Leo did not forget to thank 'Sing Gor' Wayne Lai and 'Gau Gu Leong' Sheren Tang, whose popularity has been soaring ever since the drama started airing. Besides, Leo did not forget to thank TVB and the emcee, Louis Yuen.

I've found the the full lyrics as well! =D I don't have the time to figure out all the words, and my Cantonese is not pro enough to figure out all the correct lyrics, though I generally understand the song. xD I can get my mum or dad to listen to it, but I think they'll slap me for wasting my time here when I'm supposed to be doing my revision. I'll just have to for somebody in the Hong Kong forum to post it. =P Don't worry, I'll translate the lyrics in English when I get the full lyrics! xD Found, and translation done, but I did not really do a literal translation! Comments: Actually, the theme song is really good and epic! It sounds really grand, and it has this olden day feel to it. I especially like the middle parts - Leo really put in a lot of feelings into sing those parts. ^^ He really did a great job in singing this! I totally didn't expect him to pull it off! ^^ I totally am in love with the lyrics! I can see Lau Sing's devotion to Gau Mui here. Aww... <3 GO NO REGRETS! =D

Comments: That's just so sad. So Sheren and Wayne are not going to sing the theme song huh... ='( I thought they sang really well during the Anniversary celebrations last year. =/ Leo Ku is a prolific Cantopop singer no doubt, but I think he doesn't look as if he can pull off "ancient + romantic" songs well? I thought Hacken Lee could have pulled it off quite well though. Never mind, I shall keep an open mind and hear how it sounds like when it comes out. =)
