Evergreen Mak's updates!

Today's filming will take place at Hong Kong's Train museum.

This is Elena, who is putting on her make-up.

Our first meeting was on a train...

When a man meet a woman, it's natural that.. IT'S TIME TO FILM! Do you think I don't know how to do that?! HAHA!

Comments: Haha, Evergreen's comments do sound rather suggestive. xD But it's confirmed that Evergreen's and Elena's characters will have a "thing" for each other and probably proceed on from there. =P

Kara Hui denies wanting to be TV Queen

| Thursday, April 22, 2010 | 0 comments |

According to the Hong Kong media, newly-crowned Hong Kong Film Best Actress winner Kara Hui was having dinner with her good friends, Lam Kin Ming and Chung Wai Bing etc. at Wan Chai to celebrate her win. She denies wanting to be TVB's Best Actress.

When asked about Producer Lee Tim Shing adding more scenes for her in No Regrets so that she could become TV Queen, Kara mentioned that she heard no news about it. "Sheren Tang is the female lead. I am very good friends with her. This drama is written specially for her." Are there more work now? "Definitely. The most surprising thing is that people have asked me to act in a musical, though I wish to give it a try." You lack a male companion? "I won't force it." She is now on the way to Guangzhou to attend another prize ceremony, for which she hopes to win another prize based on her role in At the End of Daybreak.

Also, Kevin Cheng's and her drama, A Fistful of Stances has done well in ratings. Reports pointed out that Cheng requested Producer Lee to shoot a sequel, but Kevin Cheng flatly denied it. "Many people want to film a sequel, because we are already veyr close to each other."

Watch the video of the cast members filming No Regrets and their interviews below!

Wayne Lai mentioned that in order to fit into his role, he went to tan himself and has lost about 6 to 7 pounds. He also mentioned that filming has gone on for about 2 weeks already and is in the midst of filming episodes 19 and 20, where he and Sheren Tang will have scenes together.

Comments: What? Does that mean we won't get to see the Sheren-Wayne scenes until episodes 19 onwards?! Please kill me if that's the case, though I don't think it is hahaha. 'Cos Sheren mentioned before that she and Wayne will already "meet" each other in episode 1. xD

No Regrets - An era of strifes and confusion

No Regrets - An era of strifes and confusion

Broadcast: October 2010
Producer: Lee Tim Shing
Cast: Sheren Tang, Wayne Lai, Pierre Ngo, Raymond Wong, Fala Chen

Storyline: In the 1930s in Guangzhou, behind the prosperous scene lies darkness. Sheren Tang will be a gangster's daughter who sells opium secretly while Wayne Lai will be a lowly policeman. When both of them meet, it will be a battle of wits as they strive to reap benefits from each other. When war approaches, both of them will help each other to tide over the crisis. When peace finally dawns on the country, it will be the time when confusion reigns. Sheren reveals her true nature and cruelly gets rid of all who stands in her way. The golden ring drops from Wayne's hand, cooling his once-passionate heart...

Perspective: No Regrets has followed Rosy Business's format: In a big household, everybody strives to reap benefits from each other. In times of confusion, through the course of helping each other, both the female and male leads have developed feelings for each other. However, in this drama, their confrontation scenes will be more powerful. At first, Wayne and Sheren pretends to work with each other for their own mutual benefits, but sincerely helps each other tide through each and every crisis after that. However, the audience will realise that all these are just a farce and they reveal their true nature. Sheren, as well and Kara Hui and Nancy Wu, will have epic confrontation scenes while Fala sacrifices herself to protect her family. Pierre, Nancy and Sheren will make use of this period of confusion to do bad things and achieve their aims. With a golden team leading the cast and back-stage and excellent dialogues, No Regrets will definitely ride on Rosy Business's success and succeed!

Who to look out for: Sheren Tang acting as a villain. She will be a very cruel and manipulative person here. This is really worth watching out for.

Sheren's scenes with Wayne will be one to look out for; Fala sells herself to the Japanese so as to save her family; Nancy's role is very challenging as nobody knows what is on her mind; "1st Wife" Susan Tse has taken on a seemingly more gentle role, but who knows what is going through her mind?

Comments: Indeed, I'm really looking forward to No Regrets! =D

No Regrets: Time for Sheren Tang to shine

| Wednesday, April 14, 2010 | 0 comments |
No Regrets is in the midst of filming. Lee Tim Shing jokingly mentioned that they did not mean to have any golden phrases in Rosy Business, and there won't be any this time round. It's now all up to Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai to use their emotions to move the audiences. He mentioned that this time round, their feelings towards each other will be stronger. "These 2 characters are worlds apart -- Sheren is an opportunist who has a good and bad side to her, and the audience may not really understand her thoroughly and what is on her mind. Wayne is just a normal person who is married and has a sick sister. He is also very serious about his work. So long as he catches criminal and maintains public safety, he could have led a normal life. However, he had to meet Sheren. Because of their different backgrounds, their fates became intertwined. Through this process, the audience can really feel their emotions and feelings towards each other, not like how young people nowadays break up after only a few days."

"It can be said that Sheren has a more prominent role and will stand out due to her character. However, Wayne will stay by her side no matter what happens, so I believe that the audience will definitely feel the emotions from them. People now may not experience this kind of feeling, but because this is a pre-modern drama, we dared to write such things -- A man will always be by your side, no matter what you have done. We hope that it won't be like the "boyfriend-girlfriend game" now that young people are engaging in, which is totally devoid of feelings, unlike in the past. I do not mind if people accuse me of being old-fashioned though."

Comments: Great! Actually from the start, I already knew that Sheren's character will stand out because of her occupation (she's a drug dealer) and the air of aloofness she carries herself in. It will be good to see how Wayne will fall for her though. It's totally 阴差阳错 (hope I used it correctly) in this sense. xD

No Regrets faces setbacks - Female lead raises salary; Writer leaves

| Monday, April 12, 2010 | 0 comments |

No Regrets cast

TVB's grand production, No Regrets, started filming the day before. However, it faced many setbacks. First, script-writer Cheung Wah Biu has decided to leave TVB for a new TV station in Taiwan. Next, Sheren Tang has suddenly decided to raise her salary, greatly exceeding the drama's initial budget. To cut down on budget, there is a need to cut down on her scenes, but the script has already been completed, leaving the production crew in a fluster!

Last year, Rosy Business was very well-received and won many awards. Besides Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang being among the hottest leads now with higher salaries, golden script-writer Cheung Wah Biu apparently left TVB after being offered a higher salary and position by the new TV station in Taiwan. Cheung Wah Biu has been with TVB for 30 years. Besides having amassed a great deal of experience, he has also nurtured many script-writers and script editors. When he leaved TVB for Taiwan, he will bring along many experienced writers and production crew.

Many backstage crew and production crew members are intending to leave TVB. TVB is trying to lessen its loss by persuading people to stay on so that there won't be a vacuum.

No Regret's script has not been completed and Cheung Wah Biu is leaving. Now, Sheren Tang is even rumoured to have asked for a pay raise, but it has been confirmed that there is just some nonsensical nonsense cooked up by a random reporter. However, with the script-writer leaving, it is now hard to guarantee the success of the drama.

Comments: Yes, it is confirmed that Cheung Wah Biu is leaving, but please do not believe everything you have heard from the gossip news. Sheren Tang did not ever ask for a pay raise at all! She was quite angry and hurt when she heard about the news, and this is perfectly understandable, since the news have effectively slandered her. While Cheung Wah Biu has already left, he has completed the script already, so I still have faith in No Regrets! I'm really anticipating it! ^^
